VISION:
Separate ongoing programs for adults & children that include yoga, qigong, bodywork, meditation, gardening, horse therapy, lying in a hammock, nature walks & all forms of art therapy (multimedia, music & dance). Guests can also receive holistic trauma support that includes, but will not be limited to, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy & Life Coaching.
OPERATIONS AND
INTENTION:
Programs are facilitated by staff & volunteers. All are licensed or certified and most have Spanish fluency.
While the Remain in Mexico Policy is in effect, Casa de Paz SLV is providing holistic trauma support for asylum seekers and new immigrants at the border of Texas and Mexico. We offer a weekly program called Sembrando Salud Mental (Cultivating Mental Health).
During the Covid virus we are offering a distance learning program where we post videos on our fb page and those of our parents in the Matamoros, Mexico Refugee Camp. Most families have access to a tablet or iPhone.

Casa de Paz SLV is a Post Acute Holistic Trauma Support Center located in south central Colorado USA. This area offers a very pure natural setting in a community that is rich in holistic healing opportunities. You are welcome to come here to rest, decompress & integrate the trauma you have experienced on your immigration journey.
Currently, we do not have funding to house or feed you. You will need to be sponsored.
(Casa de Paz SLV welcomes volunteers to apply to house and feed our guests while they are on retreat.

Casa de Paz SLV is not an acute trauma treatment center. Please consult your medical doctor & therapist for acute trauma treatment before applying.

Casa de Paz SLV is a nonprofit in the state of Colorado and have applied for 5013c nonprofit federal tax exemption status. Until we are approved, you can donate and claim those deductions. If for some reason we are denied, you will not be able to claim them. Our long term intention is to provide retreats in Crestone, Colorado.
Thank you for your generosity & kindness. It is greatly needed at this time, as large numbers of refugees flee violence in their countries of origin. These refugees are carrying a heavy burden of trauma from the violence they experienced in their country of origin, their immigration journey & US detention.
