Leveling up the Love in 2025!
Although I am not a fan of New Year’s resolutions, I am feeling new energy. I have been focusing on my health by setting clear boundaries. I am spending much more time in my own energy field and I am really enjoying it.
For about four years, I have been in the process of getting a divorce. It has been a slow process of letting go and getting used to being single. I was resistant at first because I always thought Rene and I would be together forever. I had invested the prime of my life into the marriage, family and community. Because of our genuine love and connection, we were known as a “soul mates”. People came to us often for relationship advise.
Well, almost everyone has their generational trauma to work though and that was the soul connection for Rene and I. The marriage worked through family life, and not as I grow into who I am as an older woman. This past summer I turned 60. I have been getting clear guidance that I will be able to soar higher and contribute more by not being dragged down by the drama and needs of that past partnership.
So here I go... launching a book in April, a training coming up in early February and I am beginning to open up the sacred sexuality offerings in a new way. I don’t write about this service much because I needed a break, and the region where Casa de Paz SLV serves is very conservative. I didn’t want the misconception of sacred sexuality to get in the way of providing holistic trauma support to asylum seekers, refugees and new immigrants.
My new sacred sexuality offerings will be even more therapeutic. Designed for these times. After the election, a common theme came through intuitives…"to level up one’s ability to love". "To create community".
Creating tribe has been my calling since I was in my 20s. I experienced it as a child, growing up in a large multigenerational Italian family, and missed it dearly as it all dissolved with divorces of aunts and uncles and my grandparents moving to Florida. They were the glue. I craved it and have spent my life creating community. My Italian grandmother, Angelina LaFemina, was my first counseling mentor as well. If you haven’t read my FREE ebook, Connection Post Pandemic, 2nd edition of Lighter: Living Tantra yet, it will help you get on your way to upleveling love and building community. As always, it’s an inside job…doing your own inner work through daily practice and taking risks to communicate with others in an emotionally intelligent way.
The new offerings will focus on sexual assault trauma recovery, clearing emotional blocks to intimacy, queer inclusivity and sex reeducation (sacred sexuality). This has always been an integral part of the services I provide. Most of my clients are drawn to me because of the somatic yoga therapy for mental health that I share as a private practice. They intuitively see the healing potential of the combination of sexual assault trauma transformation and sex reeducation.
Now, I am bringing all this forward, in a more intentional way, through therapeutic yoga and qigong practices for individuals, couples and the LGBQTIA community. In addition to practicing conscious communication and inclusive yoga and taoist based sacred sexuality practices, we will also share Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy exercises to transform trauma.
These services are available as private couples retreats here in Crestone, CO or at Joyful Journey Hot Springs. I also do private sessions in person and online for couples and those who are training with me. Private teacher trainings (link not connected to website www.ginambarrett.com) are also available.
Valentine’s day is coming up. Schedule your private retreat today while space is still available.
Leveling up the Love in 2025
Exactly how do we do that? So many ways. You can look for my Heart Soothing qigong on my YouTube channel. (Subscribe here). Simply by dropping your awareness toward your heart region, you can begin to sense the heart chakra area. Bring your breath there. With your mind, invite it to breathe and expand. The color is green. Imagine a misty green color in this area. What are you sensing? Feeling? You may notice something that feels like armor. Let yourself know you are safe and ready to explore this. Imagine your safe space, like what you imagine when you are at the dentist. With safety, that armor may begin to dissolve. If it dissolves, emotions may surface. You may recall ways that you have been hurt in your lifetime. Often a memory of something recent will rise that can resemble an old wound. Use the video practice to sooth these emotions. Make space for them. Feel them fully. Allow yourself to cry. Give yourself time and space to start to feel better. Often taking a walk in nature helps. Do something you love that nurtures you. What do you notice as you begin to feel better? As we transform pain, we can begin to feel more love.
If you need further support, I am available to assist you in private sessions. You can schedule with me at www.ginambarrett.com
